While viewing the video, if you have guessed that the child is suffering from some psychological problems, then you belong to the a group of people who made judgement based on our own opinions on the child. I myself, belongs to this group too! After viewing this video, I feel that I am also at times, narrow minded.
We often make judgement about a child based on our own opinion of life. We often failed to understand the child first before attempting to help the child. We thought that we are being helpful and our approach is the correct one. However, we have never stop to think if this method of helping benefits the child.
In fact, this do not only happen to children. Observe the people around us. You will noticed that some of us will also make judgement on our own collegues, friends without first understanding their situation! Of course, unlike children, we will not keep quiet and suffer in silence when we feel that the help we receive is not beneficial to us!
This video reminds us not to underestimate the people, including the children, around us. They may have greater aspirations than us. The inability to express themselves well at an early stage do not warrent us the right to suppress or deny their talents and views of the world. Do not judge too fast. Give them more time and understand them more and we will discover the hidden talents in them.
